I’m happy to introduce you to this incredible family: meet Jesse, Roxy, Sebastian and pupper Syd! These images were taken 10 months ago, but Sebastian’s adoption was only recently finalized, so I hadn’t previously been able to share much. When Jesse and Roxy decided to adopt, they very specifically decided to adopt a child with Down Syndrome, which is about as badass a life move as one can make. In a world that runs from difference, they chased it. That’s life as art. This family’s love for Sebastian is unmistakable, as you’ll see below. Roxy spent the whole session either giggling or tearing up, it was a joy to observe.
